Dolce far niente means “sweetness of doing nothing” or “pleasant idleness” in Italian. It is a beautiful reminder to take some time off from our endless to do list and just enjoy a moment of idleness.

Putting together some last minute details for the wedding show at @thebarnatsilveroaks this Sunday.

I've been mulling over quite a few last minute design decisions this week, which really stressed me out. But I was reminded today that some is better than perfect! My booth won't be exactly cohesive, but I'll know I have put in my best effort.
Prepping marble tiles for the wedding show this weekend at @thebarnatsilveroaks. If you want to walk away with your name written one of these pretties, be the first 30 brides to come see me at my booth! Hope to see you on Sunday!
Reflecting on my #wordoftheyear this evening. It's only June and I can already say 2017 has been nothing short of amazing. I've met and developed friendship with so many creative entrepreneurs.
Lisa @lisaparkercakes and Brandy @trendylittlesweethearts , thank you for walking this entrepreneurial journey with me, keeping me accountable, and cheering me on!
Thank you Maria @maineweddingnetwork for hosting all the amazing networking events that give us the opportunity to meet and collaborate with fellow creatives.
I'm not the most outgoing person and most days, I'd rather hide in my home office and work my day away. But I've learned to step out of my comfort zone and really try to connect with people. I've learned that the secret to building strong long-lasting relationships is to always come from a place of serving and giving instead of asking and receiving.
Are you working on any relationships intentionally this year?
Happy Monday friends! Let's kick off this new week with Van Gogh's quote in mind. "...there is nothing more truly artistic than to love people."
